Ethos Academic Publishing Opportunity for Cedarville Faculty

Cedarville University faculty now have access to a unique publishing opportunity through Ethos Academic, an academic imprint created in partnership with Igniting Souls Publishing.

Ethos Academic is designed to help Cedarville faculty publish, protect, and extend the impact of their ideas through professionally produced books. The opportunity is intended for faculty members who have a strong manuscript concept, original research, a distinctive framework, or a message that could serve the Church, the academy, their profession, or a broader audience.

The Cedarville University Cabinet has discussed and supported this opportunity.

Cedarville Faculty Publishing Package

The standard Ethos Academic publishing package is valued at $10,000. Cedarville faculty and approved staff may access the package for a special investment of $7,500.

For projects Cedarville chooses to sponsor:

  • Cedarville may contribute $3,750
  • The faculty author contributes $3,750

This shared-investment model gives the author meaningful ownership while allowing Cedarville to support books that align with the University’s mission and strategic priorities.

Cedarville retains full discretion regarding which projects it chooses to sponsor. Faculty members whose projects are not sponsored may still participate by funding the full $7,500 investment.

What the Package Includes

Editorial and Publishing Services

  • Complimentary professional manuscript review
  • Line editing for clarity, structure, continuity, and credibility (up to 40K words)*

  • Professional interior formatting
  • Simple, text-centered cover design

    * Popular length books should be 40K words or less to ensure readability and to achieve major market potential. If a manuscript is longer, it will require an additional investment. Our strong recommendation is to keep it at this word count; if longer, consider adding a QR code in the book that links to additional content on the author's website.

For Cedarville-sponsored projects, the book may also include an approved Cedarville foreword, endorsement, advertisement, and reference to the author’s role at Cedarville.
